About NIR

NIR – Nordiskt Immateriellt Rättsskydd (Nordic Intellectual Property Law Review) is a peer-reviewed law journal owned by the association Tidskriften NIR – Nordiskt Immateriellt Rättsskydd, whose membership is composed of the Nordic associations for industrial property and copyright law. NIR is rated Level 2 on the so-called Norwegian list (the Norwegian Scientific Index), where Level 2 is higher than Level 1 and reserved for the world’s most prestigious academic journals and publishers.

NIR has been published since 1932 and has a clear position as the foremost intellectual property journal in the Nordic countries. In step with the Europeanisation and internationalisation of intellectual property law, the journal’s international reach has grown. It also has an online presence in the form of a website (www.nir.nu), where every issue, dating back to 1932, is available in digital form. The website regularly provides news and commentary on recent rulings, legislation and other developments in intellectual property law.
