As of the year 2002 NIR is published digitally as well as in printed form. As a subscriber you have access to NIR anytime and anywhere in the world. The digital version of the Law Review consists of an indexed database, which increase the availability and access to information about Nordic intellectual property law. The published material in the printed version is available digitally during hte production phase of the printed review which means that articles are published on the Internet at least one month before distribution of the printed review.

Some material which is not published in the printed version is published digitally. This can be notices, accounts of non precedential case law and reports from Nordic meetings for the protection of intustrial property and copyright.

The database can be found under the link "The Law Review". There are two types of queries – simple query and advanced query. The advanced query gives the possibility to narrow down the query to indexword, country, category (which kind of headline in a certain edition the wanted article can be found), edition, and writer. The query allows trunctation which means that the whole word does not have to be written in the query window. If you search on the word "skadestånd" the result will also comprise the word skadeståndsrätt.
